Gas Insulated Switch Gear (GIS) control wiring installation
DEXA Pty Ltd has carried out GIS installation control wiring at a number of sub stations in the Sydney metro area through working with global manufacutres of GIS equipment. Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) is unmatched when it comes to compactness, reliability, efficiency and safety that ensure maximum power availability for utility, commercial and industrial customers.
A typical substation will have a ten or more control cubicles controlling the high voltage switch gear and current transformers with around 50 different multicore control cables running to each cubicle. The cables are installed to the stringent guidelines and a thorough pre commissioning check to validate the installation is carried out prior to hand over.
